Dave Weaber

Dave serves as the Senior Research Analyst for the animal protein sector.  In the role, he is responsible for thought leadership for the Association’s leadership team, customers, and prospective customers.  This will include timely articles and papers on issues facing participants in the animal protein supply chains.  Prior to joining the group, Dave’s career has been spent analyzing the animal and meat production business.  His career has spanned multiple sectors of the meat supply chain while he worked in primary production, slaughter and processing, as well as the retail grocery and food service sectors.  Dave holds B.S and M.S. degrees in Animal Science and Ruminant Nutrition from Colorado State University.  Dave was raised on his family’s cattle and sheep ranch and dryland wheat operation in Southern Colorado.  He is also an avid fly fisherman, long range shooting and big game and upland bird hunter.
